As part of the nation’s 250th anniversary celebration, discover the hidden history beneath Kendall County’s modern landscape. This illustrated presentation explores lost towns, vanished landmarks, and places changed by time. Using historic maps, photos, and records, Little White School Museum Coordinator Joe Noce will reveal how these places once thrived, why they disappeared, and what their stories tell us about the people and growth of Kendall County.

Asynchronous Activities

The below activities are available to Kendall County residents throughout the semiquincentennial:

Peoria Riverfront Museum: All-Illinois Student Access Pass
- Starting January 31, 2026, the Peoria Riverfront Museum will be offering free admission to all K-12 students living in Illinois.
Kendall County Office Building Display Cases
- The Oswegoland Heritage Association will be presenting a rotating exhibit of historic local artifacts on the 2nd floor of the Kendall County Office Building throughout the year.
