Kendall County Health Department employs over 50 individuals. Salaries and benefits offered by KCHD are competitive with other private and public sector positions. Employment benefits vary according to full-time or part-time employment status and between employee groups. Benefits options include:
- Approximately 14.5 paid holidays per year (holidays approved each year by the Kendall County Board)
- Paid Vacation Time – accrued each month, available for use immediately, increases incrementally with years of service
- Paid Sick Time – accrued each month, available for use immediately, unlimited carryover each year
- Paid Personal Time – available for use immediately
- Group Health Insurance – Blue Cross/Blue Shield, HMO, and PPO options available for employee and family members; HSA and FSA options
