The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Youth Academy is an eight-week program designed for youth ages 14–18 who are interested in learning about the law enforcement profession. Participants are provided the opportunity to engage with Sheriff’s deputies, attorneys, special agents, judges, staff members, and elected officials, gaining valuable insight into the criminal justice system.

The mission of the KCSO Law Enforcement Youth Academy is to provide the youth of Kendall County with hands-on exposure to the methods and techniques used in law enforcement. Throughout the program, emphasis is placed on respect, self-discipline, integrity, and physical fitness. Participants also develop a deeper understanding of community responsibility, problem-solving, and the important role of public service.

The KCSO Youth Academy is committed to guiding participants toward a positive path and future by fostering leadership, teamwork, and personal growth. Through hands-on training and community service opportunities, participants are encouraged to build strong character while making a meaningful impact in their community.
